Head’s News – 22 November
Hertfordshire Governor Awards
It gives me great pleasure to congratulate Marion Brown on being recognised at this year’s Hertfordshire Governor Awards.
Marion joined the governing body in 2013 after we had sent an appeal to local community groups for Community Governor volunteers.:
She immediately became immersed in the work of the governing body and became particularly engaged in the work of the Curriculum Committee.:
She was a massive support to the school over the last three years and resigned from the governing body due to other commitments last summer.
General Election Preparations
The school will be welcoming candidates from all the main parties at a Sixth Form lecture/Hustings on Friday 6th December. We will also be inviting Upper Sixth students from Beaumont and Sandringham schools to join us.:
All candidates will have an opportunity to make a brief presentation and then will answer questions submitted in advance.
School Election preparations
As part of the run up to the General Election, I will be presenting assemblies about the election process and the policies of the major parties next week.:
In our internal school election, a number of candidates have already put themselves forward:
Conservative: Ethan Phillips
Liberal Democrats: Richard Carabine
Labour: Charlie Barbour
Independent: Stanley Douglas
Brexit Party: Jack Langford
Green: Kian Hughes-Sparrow
Headmaster’s Commendations
This week’s commendations go to Oscar Afonso-Trindade and Jack Ritchie for their contribution and enthusiasm in being part of the panel who are selecting the School Captain, Head Boy and Head Girl.:
