Remembrance 2025
On Armistice Day, we gathered as a whole school to listen to a speech of remembrance from the Headteacher, Mr Moane and listen to the Head Boy, Victor Artemi, read the poem 'In Flanders Fields' by John McCrea.
This year, we particularly remembered two Verulam Alumni, Michael Boden and Kenneth Nettleton. Both served during the Second World Way, Michael as Private in the 1st Battalion, Hertfordshire Regiment and Kenneth as a Sergeant in the RAF 550 Squadron. Both sadly lost their lives aged only 20, Michael on service in Italy on the 16 October 1944 and Kenneth on the 14th October 1944 in Germany.
We will remember them.
