Festive Creative Arts Showcase 2025

It is with pleasure that I am writing to announce Verulam’s Festive Christmas Showcase. This year there will be musical performances from a variety of groups including year’s 10 & 11 showcasing both ensemble pieces and solos, the Lower School Choir singing Keep Holding On written by Avril Lavigne and ‘The Wednesdays’ with a Christmas surprise!
The drama department will be showing the traditional Akan (West African) folktale: Ananse and the Sky God. This is a fictional story of the trickster Ananse (usually depicted as a spider) who wants the Sky God's stories. To earn them, Ananse must capture four dangerous things: a python, a leopard, hornets, and a magic fairy. Using his cleverness and tricks, Ananse succeeds and brings the stories down to Earth for everyone to share. The evening promises to be an entertaining and laughter filled occasion.
We are only showing for one night: Wednesday 10th December. The show will start at 7pm with one interval. Tickets are priced: Adults - £6, Students - £3. As usual, please purchase your tickets through My Child At School and mention your child’s name on the door upon entering.
The Creative Arts Faculty would love to see you at what promises to be a fun celebration of festivities.
