Verulam STEM Club

It has been an action packed first year for Verulam STEM club. We have enjoyed taking part in so many activities ranging from UK and Hertfordshire Maths Challenges, undertaking numerous different science experiments including dissection of locusts, understanding why boats are shaped as they are and how to build the perfect tower. In the summer term we were invited to take part in a project that was funded by the National STEM Network to investigate the science and maths behind making movies. This included being involved in a photo shoot, meaning that some of our STEM club students may become the face of the National STEM Network!

We would like to say a big thank you to our 6th form helpers this year – Jed, Adam and James and look forward to welcoming our STEM clubbers back next year, together with some new faces!

All students and visitors to the school are advised to take extra care on site during the icy weather.
