Verulam Remembers

Any Remembrance Sunday is of vital importance, but as this year sees the centenary of the Armistice, it is especially so in 2018. The History Department at Verulam School is commemorating this event by creating a Verulam School Archive of Remembrance. Therefore we are inviting everyone in the Verulam Community to contribute to this archive. We would be grateful for the details of the service record of any relative, past student or indeed yourselves.

In particular, we would like to know:

  • The name and rank of the person involved
  • Dates and location of service
  • Name of Verulam Student that connects this individual to Verulam school, with dates for when at school, if not a current student
  • Relationship between Verulam student and the person nominated
  • Should this person have been a casualty of any war or received a medal for bravery, we would also like to know details.

Digital copies of photographs (not the originals) would also be welcome.

We would ask that you do not send in any original documents as we cannot guarantee security.

Should you wish to be involved in this project, please contact me at [email protected] by no later than Wednesday 7th November.
