Reminder – Equipped for Learning/Uniform

Summer Uniform

Boys will be able to wear summer uniform from Monday 3rd June until 19th July ONLY.  Between these dates boys must arrive in school with their blazer, but are not required to wear a tie if they are wearing a Verulam summer uniform shirt.  Summer shirts are not required to be tucked in.  However, boys may choose to wear  their usual white or blue shirt with their tie and shirts must be tucked in.

If the weather becomes significantly warm before 3rd June, we will consider amending this date and will confirm with all parents via Verulam Voice and boys through their Heads of Year.

Pupils can only make good progress and enjoy school if they have the correct equipment to use in lessons and for homelearning.  Please can you ensure your son is fully equipped for school and check they have everything on the list at the start of school each day.

A named, robust and spacious bag such as a rucksack. Small, fashionable, ‘man bags’ are not fit for this purpose. The bag should be able to contain both sports kit

and all the text and exercise books required for a day’s learning.

Learning equipment should be kept in a soft see-through pencil case and include:

√ Black or blue pens for writing – pupils should use the pen that helps them write in the clearest and neatest fashion

√ Highlighter pens
