Reading for pleasure (and knowledge)

Adolescent boys are notoriously reluctant readers particularly when the have mastered the “mechanics” of the reading process. However, one tried and tested strategy to getting them to continue the reading habit is through other media such as magazines. By logging onto the Hertfordshire libraries website using their library card number, students can access over 130 current popular (and educational) magazines which can be read online in their original formats. Titles available include Top Gear, BBC History, National Geographic, Match of the Day, New Scientist and Total Film to name but a few.

The initial registration process is a little protracted but once registered with RBDigital logging in requires just a single password.
