PTA News

The PTA recently invested £5000 across a number of departments in response to bids from students and teachers and we are also investing around £8000 on the library, again based on student feedback. There are lots of different ways you can help the PTA raise funds for the school, including attending or supporting events such as the Quiz Night (June 16th – details to follow) and some new sporting events to look out for. In the meantime here are a few other ways to get involved:

PTA Uniform Sale: Don’t be an April Fool! Call in tomorrow between 10.30-11.30am

If you need any replacement or spare items of uniform or sports kit, there will be plenty of “pre loved” kit available at the uniform sale in the school dining room tomorrow morning Sat 1st April between 10.30- 11.30 am. These sales are usually held on the first Saturday of the month and are also a great way to de- clutter. Outgrown items can be dropped off at the sale, or in school reception any time.

Spring Concert 5th April – Refreshments from 6.30pm

If you are attending the Spring Concert on 5th April next week, the PTA will be there serving refreshments from 6.30 – so why not get there early and treat yourself to a soft drink, wine or beer to start your evening? We’ll also be serving at the interval, so hope to see you then too!

Raise funds for Verulam School PTA as you shop

Did you know that when you buy anything online – from your weekly shop, to your annual holiday, to your car insurance – you could be raising a free donation for Verulam School PTA? Around 3,000 retailers, including Amazon, John Lewis, Aviva and Sainsbury’s donate a percentage of the amount you spend to say thank you for shopping with them. The Verulam webshop currently has 35 supporters who have raised over £800 by using the website. It’s really simple, doesn’t cost you anything and there is an app you can download to make it even easier.

All you have to do is download the app or go to Verulam PTA Webshop, sign up for free and start shopping – your donations are collected by easyfundraising and automatically sent to the PTA account. That’s it!
