Oli Mills Foundation

As many parents will be aware, Verulam School has a long standing, close collaboration with the Oli Mills Foundation which over the years has raised a huge amount of money for The Teenage Cancer Trust charity. We regularly hold the Oli Mills football match and staff and students have participated in many fundraising activities.

This year, tomorrow in fact, Bruce Wilson, a parent of boys in Years 8 and 10, is taking on an epic challenge to help this fundraising effort. The so called ‘Coast-to-Coast’ event involves 105 miles of running, cycling and kayaking across the entire width of Scotland from near Inverness in the East to near Glencoe in the West. Bruce says that the event is likely to take him “more than 12 hours of constant exercise to complete within the strict cut off time limits”.
