Maths Challenge update

Senior Team Challenge

The UKMT senior team challenge East of England heat took place this week at Longdean School in Hemel Hempstead. Four of our Sixth Form Further Maths students were chosen to compete on behalf of Verulam, against 24 other schools from North London and Hertfordshire from both the state and private sector. Our students worked together extremely hard before the event, practicing not only answering the challenging questions, but also working as a team.

We are delighted to report that Verulam came 9th in the Challenge. This is a fantastic achievement and we are very proud of the team. Congratulations to Michael Lawman, Jez O’Donnell, Scott Redshaw and Matthew Stevens.
