Kings College London – Social Science Workshop at Verulam

On Wednesday 17th October, 25 Sociology and Psychology students in the Sixth Form attended a workshop aimed at attracting more state school entries into ‘elite’ universities such as KCL.

In co-ordination with British Sociological Association, Dr Burgess of Kings led the students through a research problem solving task, followed by an intensive Q&A session on ‘Social Science at University’ and the UCAS application process.

The students excelled on the task, with Dr Burgess commenting “I was very taken with your student’s engagement – a wonderful bunch of young people. I wish every school that I visit was as much fun and as interesting for me”.
