Verulam A-Level and BTEC Success
Verulam students celebrated receiving their A-Level and BTEC results today. Their hard work over two years has led to pleasing results that will enable them to pursue their next steps in education, training or their careers. I am delighted that so many students have gained places on excellent degree courses including at Oxford and the Russell Group.
Mathew Stevens, School Captain, and Stefan Martin are both looking forward to continuing their studies at Oxford next year. Mathew will study Maths at St Catherine’s College whilst Stefan will pursue his love of Geography at St Edmund Hall.
The vocational route was also particularly fruitful for our students who enjoyed considerable success in Business, Finance, Sport and Media. Jack Quirke, who studied Btec Business, Sociology and Finance, will be taking a place at Loughborough to study Commercial Management and Quantity Surveying.
Chloe Bethell who joined Verulam in the Sixth Form and became a welfare mentor for younger students secured her place to study Psychology at University of York with 3 A grades at A Level in Sociology, Psychology and English Literature.
