Year 10 Creative Writing Competition

To complement the Creative Writing unit of work studied in English by Year 10 at the moment, we are running a competition. The task is for boys to write a story set in a time before they were born. They will need to use their creative writing skills to evoke a time period so that the reader can successfully feel part of a different time period.

Mr Fletcher has offered to discuss suitable historical context with boys and is available in the history office or his teaching room should boys wish to discuss ideas about context with him.

The attached poster gives details of the prizes and how to enter. I hope that many boys will take this opportunity to try out their writing skills by entering this competition.
