A Level – Results Day

A Level Results will be available for collection on 16th August at 9:00 am in the school hall.

If your son/daughter cannot collect his results in person, they must send in a letter (enclosing a stamped, self-addressed envelope), or an email nominating a responsible person to collect them on their behalf. Alternatively, we hope to publish results on MCAS after 12 noon.

Members of staff will be available to advise your son/daughter if they have any issues regarding University places or if they wish to query results. Documents relating to review of results and access to scripts will be available on reception or on the school website https://verulamschool.co.uk/about-us/exam-information/exam-details/

Please note that certificates will be available for collection in December. We will notify you, but it is important that certificates are collected promptly as we are only allowed to keep them for one year and due to GDPR rules they then have to be destroyed.

Yours sincerely

GCSE Results Day

Year 11 GCSE Results will be available for collection on 23rd August between 9:00 and  10:00 am

Year 10 English Literature will be available on 23rd August between 10:00 am and 11 am.

If your son cannot collect his results in person, he must send in a letter (enclosing a stamped self-addressed envelope), or an email nominating a responsible person to collect them on his behalf. Alternatively, we hope to publish results on MCAS after 12 noon.

The following information is applicable to Year 11 students. Year 10 post results queries will be dealt with upon return to school in September.

Members of staff will be available to advise your son if he is close to the next grade boundary and if they would advise him to request a review of results. There is a fee for each paper reviewed and he must sign the appropriate form to say he is aware his mark could go down as well as up. Forms will be available on results day.

It is also possible for your son to request his script back (Access to Scripts). The three exam boards offer different options:

  • Edexcel offer access to scripts free of charge which can be downloaded almost immediately if available
  • OCR offer a priority service where your son can see his paper before requesting a Review of Results.
  • AQA do not provide a priority service, therefore the paper may not arrive before the Review of Results Deadline

Forms and fee information can be found here: https://verulamschool.co.uk/about-us/exam-information/exam-details/

Certificates will be available in December and will be handed out in an assembly. If your son is no longer at Verulam, please ensure these are collected as we are only able to keep them for one year. Replacement cost of certificates is in excess of £40 for each exam board.

Yours sincerely
