The exam is a total of 1 hour.

You should answer all the questions in all three parts.

Part A will test your atlas skills.

You will need to know:-

• How to use your contents and index;
• To be able to use latitude and longitude;
• To be able to use a key;
• To be able to identify places in the world.

Part B will test your Ordnance Survey map skills

You will need to know:-

• To recognize map symbols;
• To able to do 4 and 6 figure map references;
• To know how height is shown on a map.

Part C will test your knowledge of Britain

You will need to know:-

• The countries that make up the British Isles;
• To recognize mountain ranges and rivers in Britain;
• To know weather and climate in Britain;
• To know the different types of jobs in Britain.
