Sixth Form Induction Details 27th and 28th June 2018

All students who have applied to join the sixth form at Verulam in September 2018 will undertake a two day induction on Wednesday 27th and Thursday 28th June 2018. This will provide the following opportunities:

  • A double lesson in each of your subject choices
  • To collect summer work set in taster lessons. This work will be research based is to be completed during the summer holidays and submitted during enrolment on in September
  • To meet teachers, tutors and students, both external to Verulam and those who will study here from consortium schools
  • To familiarise yourself with the sixth form centre and sixth form teaching areas
  • Collect your post sixteen stationery and tie

Where do I go?

Induction starts at 8.30am Wednesday 27th June in the hall. You will be met by one of our current Year 12 students who will provide you with your induction timetable.

What should I wear?

We expect all sixth form students to set an example to the rest of the school through their high standard of business-like dress and the way they present themselves. During induction you are expected to wear smart business dress.

What do I need to bring with me?

  • Notepad and pens – you will be completing work in your lessons.
  • Lunch or money for lunch. Hot and cold drinks and snacks are available in the sixth form centre at break and lunch.

What time will I finish? 

On Wednesday afternoon we will finish at 4.30pm. We will finish at lunchtime on Thursday.

How do I get to Beaumont/Sandringham? 

If you are studying a subject at Beaumont or Sandringham minibuses run at break, lunchtime and Wednesday afternoon then break and lunchtime on Thursday.

GCSE success at Verulam!

Verulam School St albans Hertfordshire gcse results 2017Verulam School Year 11 students once again enjoyed an excellent set of GCSE results. Nine boys in particular had reason to celebrate by achieving the top grade 9 in Maths. Nathan Gorgulu, Simon Grundy, Joe Hensman, Haneef Khan, James Lofts, Adam Pringle, Alex Towle, Stuart Wallace and Freddie Wilkinson all hit the highest mark in the newly reformed examinations. Paul Ramsey, Headmaster said, “I am delighted that the boys have responded so well to the new exams which are far more challenging due to the increased content and assessment through final examination only.”

Improved A-Level Results at Verulam
